Mario Murgado
Mario Murgado is president, CEO and owner of Murgado Automotive Group. The company operates auto dealerships in three states, representing Alfa Romeo, Audi, Bentley, Buick, Cadillac, Ferrari, GMC, Honda, Infiniti, Maserati, Mazda and Volkswagen. Fifty years ago, his family's dedication to thought, preparation and implementation led to an escape from communist Cuba and the chance to start over and finally live the American dream. In 1965, Murgado, then just five years old, boarded a plane to Miami alone. Four months later, his mother and sister arrived in Miami, followed by his father 10 months later. When they found an opportunity in their new country, they seized it and instilled in their children a work ethic and a sense of pride that would guide them and future generations.
For more than 20 years, Mario Murgado has led the Murgado Automotive Group with an entrepreneurial spirit, working closely with major companies such as General Motors, Honda, Nissan and Volkswagen. He has guided the company through countless challenges, including the mass migration away from gas-guzzling SUVs in the early 2000s, the recession that decimated customer purchasing power in 2008, the changing landscape of auto marketing and, of course, the Covid-19. The dealership group has grown from three almost bare-bones stores when he acquired it to 17 dealerships, offering a full range of cars, trucks and SUVs - from traditional low-cost brands to ultra-luxury, elite sports cars. Murgado's organization is focused on a core belief and mission statement: Our organization must have an unwavering commitment to providing quality new and used vehicles by providing exceptional service to the people we are proud and humbled to call our customers.
Murgado has served as president of the Florida Automobile Dealers Association and the American Honda National Dealer Advisory Committee and a member of the General Motors dealer advisory committees on marketing and fixed operations and is a member of the South Florida Dealer Association and a board member of AIADA. In addition to his business and industry, Murgado is active in numerous community and community organizations. He currently serves on several boards, as chairman of the board of Nicklaus Children's Hospital, a member of the Board of Trustees of the University of St. Thomas in Miami and the Foundation. FIU Fellow, Orange Bowl Committee Board Member, History Miami Board Member, Past President of the Miami International Auto Show. He is also the past president of the Florida Council of Mothers Against Drunk Driving and has served as president of the Executive Board of the Young Presidents Organization-Miami Chapter. Murgado earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from La Salle University and graduated from Harvard University's Owner/Presidents Management Program.
Alex Andrews
At the age of 23, Alex Andreus became general manager of a dealership and achieved record sales and profits in his first year on board. This track record has not changed: Andreus was instrumental in leading the Murgado Automotive Group by restructuring the business and increasing market share. Experienced in managing day-to-day operations, growing revenue and controlling costs, Andreus has comfortably managed a workforce of over 600 employees and annual revenues in excess of $500 million.
Rick Barraza
When Ricardo (Rick) A. Barraza began his career as a representative with the Braman Honda organization, he wanted to make a mark in the automotive industry. Within three short years, Barraza succeeded: his skills rose to New Car Sales Manager, where he led a staff of more than 200 employees. Fast forward to today and Rick now has over 35 years of experience in the automotive industry. His executive coaching, leadership and sales skills have elevated him to Vice President and Managing Partner of the Murgado Automotive Group.
Jeffrey Nonenberg
Jeffrey S. Nunberg is a successful entrepreneur, investor, car dealer, real estate developer and philanthropist born and raised in Miami, Florida. In 1983, he bought a one-man locksmith business and over the next 36 years built that business into a regional systems integrator called Integrated Security Systems with offices throughout the United States.
In addition to ISS, he is a partner at Ferrari in Central New Jersey, as well as several dealerships in New Jersey, Chicago and Florida. Jeff has an active role in supporting traders within the portfolio. Mr. Nunberg owns and invests in commercial real estate and invests in two high-rise projects in Chicago. Jeff has an impressive car collection with an emphasis on Ferraris from the 1960s to the present day. In addition to Ferrari, he has special cars from Pontiac, Porsche and Ford in his collection. When asked what his favorite car is, he replies "All of them!". His other passions are anything related to cars, Formula 1 racing, cycling and wine collecting.
Mario Murgado Jr.
Mario Murgado, Jr. he was born into the automotive industry, although he started at the bottom and worked his way up. First as a Sales Consultant, then as Digital Marketing Manager, Internet Marketing Manager and Sales Manager, where he leveraged his skills as a digital native to eventually become the General Manager of Murgado Mazda. Today, he is also the Director of Marketing & Operations for the Murgado Automotive Group, overseeing the latest digital marketing efforts of the group's 18 dealerships.
